Indian Cricketer Rishi Dhawan would be conferred with Madhavrao Scindia Award for taking highest number of wickets in 2013-14 Ranji Trophy that is organized by Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI).
Rishi who took 49 wickets at an average of 20.3 in 8 matches, would be awarded with a trophy and a cheque
of Rs 2.5 lakh in an award ceremony on Friday.
“I can’t describe my happiness and joy. It is an honour to receive this prestigious award from BCCI and it award will give me and my fellow players from HPCA a boost to perform better,” an elated, Rishi Dhawan said.
I would like to thank HPCA for the support they have provided over the years. The world class facilities and infrastructure established in the state will help players like me to excel in the game of cricket, Dhawan added.
HPCA chief Anurag Thakur congratulated Dhawan and said that ‘Rishi has time and again proven his mettle and this award is a testimony to that’.
The others who will be awarded alongside Rishi includes names like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Parvez Rasool, Vinay Kumar, Kedar Jadhav, Rahul Tripathi, B Anirudh, Shubham Gill, Smriti Mandhana. Dilip Vengsarkar will be awarded with Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award and Anil Chaudhary with Best Umpire in domestic cricket.
