Audi launches A4 Premium Sport sedan at Rs 38 lakh in India

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, has launched luxurious sedan Audi A4 Premium Sport Edition at Rs 38 lakh in India.

Audi A4 Premium Sport’s launch seems to be aimed giving Mercedes-Benz tough competition in the luxury car segment

as Mercedes would introduce the new C-Class on November 25 in India.

Audi has given A4 Premium Sport a refreshed look with features like sporty front bumper, carbon-black styling package which include wing mirror, door moldings and window sills.

Audi A4 was first launched in Indian in 2008 but the German company has now brought out new model series, christened as Premium Sport Limited Edition.

With more sportier looks and a revised bumper at front with a new set of 17-inch, 20 spoke alloy wheels, Audi A4 Premium Sport would be available in only two body paint options, white and red.

Though on technical, Audi has not made any new changes and the luxury sedan retains 2.0 litre, four cylinder TDI engine. Audi would offer this model series in three variants, Premium, Premium Plus and Technology Edition with two (2.0-litre and 3.0-litre) diesel engine and one petrol engine options.

Audi A4 Premium Sport sports a 2.0-litre engine that can generate 147.5bhp power with 320Nm of peak torque output. Whereas, other 1968cc TDI engine can churn out 174.3bhp along with a commanding torque output of 380Nm.

The Premium Plus and Technology Edition variants are fitted with a 3.0-litre diesel mill that can generate 241.3bhp power and 500Nm of power and torque respectively.

While petrol variant of Audi A4 Premium Sport is powered by a 1.8-litre TFSI engine that can produce 167bhp power at 320Nm.

Audi’s new luxury sedan is likely to given Volvo S60, Mercedes Benz C Class, BMW 3 Series and Jaguar XF a tough competition in this segment.
