New Delhi/November 6 (NG News)
After suffering huge damages in the Hudhud cyclone last month, another cyclone is likely to hit Visakhapatnam within fortnight.
As per Indian Meteorological Department report, monsoon depression had formed a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal
. This may further develop into a deep depression on favourable climatic conditions.
The depression is located around 700 kms away from Visakhapatnam and that too near the same spot where cyclone Hudhud was formed last month.
The Join Typhoon Warning Centre at Pearl Harbour has already issued a warning, stating that the cyclone could hit Visakhapatnam in the third week of November. “The depression could further develop into a tropical storm,” the warning states.
Andhra Pradesh government has started preparations to contain loss to life in the cyclone. The authorities were also working to ensure that communication don’t collapse as it happened during Cyclone Hudhud.
