Himachal government to fill 100 posts of Ayurveda doctors

Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Monday said that the government has given sanction to fill 100 posts of Ayurveda doctors and 66 posts of Ayurveda doctors has already been filled in rural and remote areas of the state.

Singh said that Himachal has a treasure-house of herbal and aromatic medicinal plants and herbs and the government is promoting herbal plantation to pharmaceutical industry a sustainable supply of raw material.

“The herbal gardens at Jogindernagar in district Mandi, Neri in Hamirpur, Jangal Jhaelra in Bilaspur and Dhamrera in Shimla district are catering to the needs of the Ayurveda health institutions,” he said.
