Punjab government on Wednesday announced to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on August 24 in 400 examination centres across the state.
Punjab Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema said that the necessary arrangement for TET Test has been put in place in which around 1.83 Lakh students are likely to appear. “For the smooth conduction of the test 36 Nodal Centres have also been established at District as well as Sub Division level and a helpline 1860 180 1814 (Toll Free) to facilitate has also been set up,” Cheema said.
Cheema said that students have been allowed to take carbon copy of the answer sheet along with question paper so that they could self evaluate themselves. “After two days of examination the original answer sheet of question paper would be uploaded on website and students could file objections within five days of the declaration of the results,” he said.
He added that TET-1 would be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for ETT passed students and TET-2 would be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm for B.Ed. passed students.
