IBM would start placement drive at Bahra University’s Waknaghat based campus on August 8 to provide job opportunities in the country’s leading IT company.
The Vice Chancellor of Bahra University Dr SK Bansal said that apart from the students of Bahra University, the placement drive would be open for students from other colleges who have completed B.Tech/B.E. in any stream and had passed out in 2014. “Such students would be required to register themselves at www.bahrauniversity.edu.in and report at 9:00 am at the university campus on August 8,” Bansal said.
He urged the students to make use of this opportunity by appearing for the interview with their original testimonials. “Excellent oral and written communication skills would be an asset and ability to identify basic hardware parts and aware of basic hardware concepts, user level familiarity with at least one e-mail client – Outlook, Notes. The probable location of joining will be Hyderabad or Bangalore,” Bansal said.
He added that Bahra University had been endeavouring to provide quality education and prepare students for ready absorption in top companies and had already tied up with the IBM to provide specialized B. Tech (CSE) courses. “This collaboration would open wider employment avenues to the varsity students who not only have the chance to be readily absorbed by the IBM but also the scope to join other IT major companies like Microsoft,” he added.
