Badal allots portfolios to newly inducted ministers, reshuffles key ministers

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday allotted portfolios to the newly inducted three Cabinet Ministers besides reshuffling the portfolios of other Cabinet Ministers.
Badal’s advisor on Media and National Affairs Harcharan Bains said that the reshuffled portfolios to the Cabinet Ministers are Parkash Singh Badal would now hold the portfolios of Personnel, General Administration, Cooperation, Science Technology and Environment, Vigilance and Civil Aviation while Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal would now hold the portfolio of Home, Governance Reforms, Housing and Urban Development, Excise and Taxation, Investment Promotion, Sports and Youth Services Welfare and Power.
The newly inducted minister Sohan Singh Thandal would hold the portfolio of Jails, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums and Printing and Stationary, Janmeja Singh Sekhon would now oversee PWD, Defence Services Welfare, Removal of Grievances and Welfare of Pensioners and Tota Singh has given the charge of Agriculture
and NRI Affairs.
Bikram Singh Majithia would now look after Revenue and Rehabilitation & Disaster Management, Information and Public Relations and Non-Conventional Energy, Sikandar Singh Malooka has been allotted Rural Development and Panchayats, Surjit Singh Rakhra would hold Water Supply and Sanitation and Higher Education and Languages, Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon has been given Irrigation while Daljeet Singh Cheema would look after Education portfolio.
