P Mitra appointed as new Chief Secretary of Himachal

P Mitra, who was earlier holding the charge of Chief Secretary (Home & Vigilance, Cooperation), was on Friday appointed as the Chief Secretary of Himachal while former Chief Secretary S Roy has been appointed as the Adviser to the state government.
A state government spokesperson said that Himachal Governor Urmila Singh has appointed P Mitra as the new Chief Secretary and he will continue to hold the additional charge of the departments of Home & Vigilance and Cooperation till further orders.
“While the former Chief Secretary S Roy has been posted as Adviser to the Himachal government with immediate effect,” the spokesperson added.
