Only 57 percent students passes matric exams in Himachal

In a state where literacy rate stood above 70 percent in the state, only 57.19 percent students managed to clear matriculation exams that were conducted by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in March 2014.
HP Education Board secretary Balbir Thakur said that a total of 142128 students have appeared in the matriculation exams out which 80,650 students have passed while 26,205 students have got compartment and around 35,276 students could not clear the exams. “Students can view their results by visiting Board’s website www.hpbose.org or they can on Board helpline numbers 01892-242148, 242149, 242151, 242128 to inquire about their results on working days between 10 am to 5 pm,” Thakur said.
He added that students can apply for revaluation/re-checking of exam papers till June 2 while students with compartment cases can submit their forms for supplementary exams till July 25.
