Revolt against Bajwa intensifiers,General Secretary PPCC joins SAD

Chandigarh/March 31
The ongoing revolt against Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa today intensified as his right hand men Joginder Singh Chhina and Master Harcharan Singh Chhina along with hundreds of their supporters today deserted Congress party and joined the Shiromani Akali Dal in the presence of its President Sukhbir Singh Badal and former minister Sewa Singh Sekhwan.
Joginder Singh Chhina was general secretary of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), whereas, Harcharan Singh Chinna was former Chairman of Panchayat Sammittee Dhariwal. Both were considered as the main strength of the PPCC President in his home constituency Qadian. They joined SAD along with two more prominent Congress faces from Kadian constituency Gurnek Singh and Baljit Singh Laddi. Before LokSabha Polls, this said to be a major jolt to Bajwa and that too from his home constituency.
Welcoming Chinna and his supporters into the party fold, Badal said that Bajwa had already lost his hold on PPCC and with this jolt he had lost grip on his constituency too. He said that the way Congress leaders were leaving the party was indicative of the fact that the Congress was all set to be disappeared from the political scene of Punjab by the end of Lok Sabha Polls. Badal said that he had planned big surprises for Congress which he was going to disclose after April 2.
Describing this joining as last nail in Bajwa’s coffin,Sewa Singh Sekhwan said that Joginder Singh Chhina was Congress main Dalit face from the Qadian constituency. He said that Bajwa was all set to face shameful defeat from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency. He said that SAD-BJP alliance would earn a margin of more than 20000 votes from Qadian constituency alone.
Meanwhile, Chinna Duo said that they have left Bajwa because he was behaving like a frustrated leader these days. They said that Bajwa has smelt his clear defeat and he was spitting his anger on his fellowmen. They said that there was no point to work for a party which has no vision and its leaders are frustrated. They said that they decided to join Shiromani Akali dal as it was the only party that has been doing a good job for the overall development of the downtrodden.
