Shinde stopped investigation against businessman having links with Dawood Ibrahim: Former Home Secy

Former Indian Home Secretary RK Singh on Monday alleged that Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde is shielding a Mumbai based business who was allegedly involved in IPL T20 match fixing scandal and suspected by intelligence agencies of having links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Shinde, even, prevented Delhi police from questioning him, Singh said, adding that the Indian Home Minister also interfered in the transfer/posting of SHOs’ of Delhi police, in lieu of money.
Singh, who had recently joined BJP and is an aspirant for Lok Sabha ticket from Bihar further accused Shinde of lying to the people of the country by saying that US’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has given assurance of helping India to nab Dawood as FBI had not given any such assurance to Indian government in this regard.
Union Home Minister hasn’t yet responded to the allegations of his former Home Secretary.
