Polish national raped in taxi on way to Delhi from Mathura

A Polish national was allegedly raped by a taxi driver while she was coming to Delhi from Mathura along with her 2-year-old daughter on January 2, police said.
As per reports, the 33-year-old Polish woman was drugged on the 150 km journey from Mathura and raped by the driver who had offered mother-daughter lift till Delhi. “The accused taxi driver allegedly sprayed some sedatives on the her face and raped her after she fell unconscious. He later dropped the Polish woman and her daughter at Nizamuddin Railway station,” said the police, adding that when the woman regained consciousness on a bench outside the railway station with her daughter crying by her side, she reported the matter to the police.
Police officials took her to a nearby hospital for medical checkup where doctors confirmed that she was raped. Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and they have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
A devotee of Lord Krishna, the Polish national used to live in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, from the last three years and she used to work in garment export business.
