Himachal govt to bring white paper on BJP’s misrule

Under fire from BJP for allegedly taking bribe from a power company, Himachal’s Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said that his government will soon bring out a white paper on all the misdeeds of the previous BJP government and all the scams including illegal land deals will be thoroughly examined and investigated.
“My government will not succumb to any pressure and we are committed to ensure that rule of law prevailed in the state,” Singh said while addressing a public meeting at Panjawar in Haroli assembly segment of Una district after laying foundation stone of Primary Health Centre to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.87 lakh.
Singh said that the BJP was personally targeting him on unsubstantial issues and working on pressure tactics to hinder the ongoing investigations in various scams and misdeeds of the previous government but the present Congress government was fully firm to expose the wrong doings and take stern action against those found guilty.
“The state government will soon come out with a white paper on all the misdeeds of the previous BJP government and all the scams including illegal land deals would be thoroughly examined and investigated,” the Chief Minister said.
He said that Una district is being given priority in the matter of the development and the work on various projects including Rs 922 core Swan River channelization had been started in the district. “Besides channelizing of the Swan river, all 73 tributaries of Swan from Daulatpur to Santokhgarh bridge will also be channelized under the project,” he said, adding that Una district is also being developed as industrial hub in the state where a large number of industrial units are coming up that will, besides giving boost to industrial activities, it is also ensuring employment avenues to the youth of the State.
