Himachal’s Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday stresses on his government’s commitment to preserve state’s cultural heritage as it is the integral part of our culture. Singh said that the state government was committed for the preservation of Himachal’s cultural heritage and its promotion. He was speaking during the cultural program organized by the Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai Students Union at Gaiety Theatre in Shimla today.
“The rich culture, vivid traditions, folk arts and life style of the people of Himachal are the bedrock of our identity and we should strive to maintain them along-with the development,” Singh said, adding that cultural programs are instrumental in promoting our culture and encouraging the spirit of brotherhood. The Chief Minister also announced to grant Rs. 50,000 to the Union on this occasion.
