Assembly elections in five states to be held from November 11 onwards

Election Commission on India on Friday announced organise assembly polls in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram from November 11 onwards and counting of votes will take place on December 8.
The notification for assembly elections will be announced on October 18 and dates for polling, filing and withdrawing nominations in each state can be accessed from ECI website eci.nic.in.
Meanwhile, polling in Chattisgarh will take place on November 11, 18 in two phases, Madhya Pradesh on November 25, Rajasthan on December 1 while polling in Delhi and Mizoram will take place on December 4.
Elections for 630 assembly seats in these five states will be held under amid full proof security arrangements and around 11 crore voters will exercise their right to vote in these assembly elections through 1.30 lakh polling booths. ECI has issued strict measures to ensure free and fair elections in these five states and reject button will also be included in EVM machines in the assembly elections as per the directions of the Supreme Court of India.
