Journalist working with Hindi newspaper shot dead in UP CM’s hometown

A journalist working with a Hindi newspaper was shot dead in Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s hometown Etawah on Firday evening.
As per reports, the journalist identified as Rakesh Sharma (50) was shot dead by motorcycle borne assailants in Bakewar area when he was returning home after completing his work.
“Rakesh Sharma had gone out on his bike late last night after he received a call on his phone but he was incepted by unidentified persons on Bharthana Road in Bakewar and shot him,” said the police, adding that a passerby identified him and informed police and his family members.
Sharma was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and said that personal enmity could be the reason behind the incident.
