Haryana to increase B.Sc., B.Com seats in all govt colleges

Chandigarh/August 8
Haryana government on Thursday decided to increase the number of seats in B.Sc. (Medical and Non Medical) and B.Com streams in all government colleges of the state.
“It has been decided that if application forms for admission to these classes were lying pending, in that case the Principals concerned could admit one additional unit of 80 seats over and above the number of seats allotted earlier,” a spokesman of Higher Education Department said.
The spokesperson said that admission of one additional unit will be applicable provided that at least 40 additional students take admission in that particular class.
“There should be availability of sufficient infrastructure like rooms or labs for additional strength. Apart from this, the additional workload would be managed by the existing faculty or by engaging teaching faculty on extension lecture basis,” added the spokesperson.
