Haryana offers incentives to govt doctors to render better services

Haryana government on Friday offered incentives to doctors of government run health institutes to provide patients qualitative and special health facilities.
Haryana’s Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ram Kishan Fouji said that there is a proposal to start Assured Surgery Program under Surgery package Program that is being implemented by the state government.
“Under this program, an incentive of Rs 15000 will be given to the General Hospitals and the teams exhibiting outstanding performances,” Fouji said, adding that the evaluation of performance of hospitals will be done after every six months.
He said that to encourage the doctors and specialists serving efficiently in Government Hospitals, an incentive of Rs 3000 per month will be given and criterion has already been set for it.
“Further, a 24 hour operational support system laboratory, X-ray, USG and ECG facilities will be provided in government hospitals so that any kind of surgery could be carried out round the clock. For this, an X-ray technician, an Ultrasonologist, an ECG technician will made be available as per schedule. Also, all the facilities starting from consultation, surgery to discharge would be provided free of cost to the patients belonging to Haryana,” he said.
He added that there is a provision to avail the services of private doctors as per the need. Also, there is a provision to provide an advance amount of Rs 10,000 to each surgeon for meeting immediate expenditure in operation theatres.
