Turkmenistan’s media hides President’s horse fall incident on race course

Turkmenistan’s media looked the other way when President Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov falls to ground from horse in race course near national capital, Ashgabat.
The autocratic single party regime in Turkmenistan led by Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov cut the video feed of the incident and security personnel, even checked the onlookers cameras to not to let video reach outside world but failed.
Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov didn’t suffered any injuries after he fell into dirt track and lay motionless on the ground after which men in dark suits rushed to his help. An ambulance was called in and President Berdymukhamedov was rushed to hospital for treatment. He returned half an hour later to claim the first prize of 11 million dollars and the Turmenistan’s media reported the incident with full of praise for the President who won the first and gave the incident a miss in its reports.
Media in Turkmenistan is under strict supervision of government since its independence from Soviet Union in 1991 and still is under autocratic single party rule.
