Spice launches smartphone at Rs 6,999 to counter Micromax, other companies' budget smartphones

After several mobile companies launched budget smartphones, Spice has also entered into the fray with Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502, a smartphone that runs on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and is powered by a 1GHz Dual Core Processor and 512MB to counter highly appreciated Micromax Canvas 3D A115 but at a price range of Rs 7000.
However, Spice’s dual SIM phone lacks 3G connectivity which Micromax’s phones are offering but the price band of Rs 6,999 could pose a stiff competition to mobile phone companies offering smartphones.
Spice’s Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502 is 9.6 mm in width and it runs on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 with a 1GHz Dual Core Processor, 512MB internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone is loaded with EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity. It boasts of Micro USB, proximity sensor, 2100mAh battery that supports talk-time of more than 5 hours with a standby time of up to 280 hours, a 5-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen and a 5 megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash and 1.3 MP front camera.
Spice is also offering free leather case and screen guard and popular apps such as Hoopz, Nimbuzz and WhatsApp.
