Punjab govt exempts market fee on exports of fruits and vegetables

Punjab government on Thursday decided to exempt market fee on fruits and vegetables exported to various countries from the state to promote its flagship program of crop diversification.
“Punjab’s Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today gave his approval for exemption in market fee for the exports of fruits and vegetables after a proposal in this regard was moved by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal,” said a Punjab government spokesperson.
The spokesperson added that the decision was taken to facilitate the vegetables and fruits growers who intend to exports their produce and Badal has approved the exemption of market fee by amending Rule 30(10) and Form K-3 of The Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (General) Rules, 1962.
