Now book your visit to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine online

From now on, you can book your trip to Mata Vaishno Devi online as the Shrine Board on Monday started an online registration facility to book visiting permits instead of waiting in queues at pilgrimage registration counter at Jammu or Katra.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board looks after the famous Vaishno Devi pilgrimage and in an effort to simplify the registration process for the pilgrimage, the board today launched an online registration facility for issuing visit permits to the shrine.
The online registration facility will be provided free of cost and from now on, one can book their pilgrimage permit online.
The shrine board has decided to give freedom to the pilgrims who want to visit Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine to book their travel 30 days in advance or on the same day as well.
The pilgrims will be given a printed registration slip with a specific number and bar-code with which a traveler can start his journey from Banganga, 12 kms from Katra base camp.
This initiative of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will provide relief and comfort to millions of pilgrims from India and aboard who come to visit the shrine every year.
Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is located near the town of Katra in India’s Jammu and Kashmir state and the shrine is one of the most revered places of worship in India. The shrine is situated at an altitude of 5300 feet and a distance of approximately 12 kms from Katra and more than 80 lakh pilgrims visit the shrine every year.
