Naxalities abducts Chhattisgarh Congress Chief after an attack on party’s rally

Chhatisgarh Congress party chief along with his son was kidnapped by naxalites in an attack party’s rally in Sukma area of state on Saturday while one Congress party leader was killed while many leaders of the party are reported to be injured in the attack.
As per reports, naxalites attacked Congress party’s Parivartan Rally in the Sukma area of Dharba valley of Chhattisgarh state and opened fire on the party’s activists while they returning from Jagdalpur.
“The convoy was attacked by naxalites in which senior Congress party leader Mahendra Karma was killed while one another party leader VC Shukla has been injured in the attack and his condition is said to be serious,” police sources said.
Meanwhile, state Congress president Nand Kumar Patel along with son has been reportedly abducted by the naxalites and many party workers are also injured in the attack.
Dharba Valley area of Chhattisgarh is said to be stronghold of naxalities and today’s attack is being termed as retaliation to the Indian government move of crackdown on their activities in area through central forces.
