Project Director SSA DC Rana said here today that the Himachal had attained 100 percent target of enrolment, retention and transition of students and now stress was being made on quality education. He informed that with a view to ensure and monitor learning level of students studying in Government Schools, assessment tests would be conducted on regular intervals.
He said that base line assessment of all students studying in Class II to VIII in government schools would be conducted on May 27 and 29. He said that the test would be conducted in all major subjects like Hindi, English, Math, EVS and Science.
Rana said that the questionnaire for the test had been developed at state level by SSA pedagogy wing with the help of practicing teachers of government schools.
Rana told that the test would be conducted at school level by the teachers and the scores obtained by the students would reflect the initial attainment level in the beginning of academic session which subsequently would help analyse progress made by the students during the academic year.
