BJP would expose Congress government’s misdeeds during Mandi by poll– Dhumal

Shimla/ May 22
The leader of opposition and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Wednesday said the opposition BJP would expose the misdeeds of Congress government during the Mandi by-poll, slated for June 23 this year.
“Every time the Congress party has secured win in assembly elections by misguiding people of state and same happened in last assembly elections,” he added.
He said that it was Congress government who sold precious land of Himachal to outsiders and ever put the blame on BJP government.
“It was Congress government who had amended the section 118 five times during its governments.
Leader of opposition said that Congress government had brought the Apartment Act in 2005 to settle non- Himachalis and gave permissions to the construct colonies in the state.
“But, it was BJP government who scrapped this act to stop misuse, but Congress government again revived this act when it again comes to power in state,” he added.
Dhumal said the government should clarify that who sold the interests of the state.
“We gave permission keeping in mind the interests of the state while the Congress kept in mind its favourites while giving permissions. Congress government gave 2398 permissions under section 118 during 2003 to 2008, while BJP government gave only 1649 permissions,” he added.
He said that most of the permissions under section 118 during BJP government were given for setting up of hydro electric projects, industrial units and tourism units.
“All the facts and figures are making it clear that it was Congress government who sell the interests of Himachalis,”he added.
