Children to get free treatment for Thelcemia, cancer and chronic heart diseases

Punjab government today decided to provide free treatment to children studying in Anganwari schools of the state and is suffering from Thecemia, cancer and chronic heart diseases.
The Director of General School Education instructions, KS Pannu said that the state government has decided to include Anganwari children in the age group of 3 to 6 in the ambit of National Rural
Health Mission and School Health Programme for providing them
free treatment for Thecemia, Cancer and Chronic Heart diseases.
“We have issued instruction to all School Heads to identify children suffering from these diseases so that their treatment could be insured by the Government,” Pannu said.
Pannu further stated that after identifying such children, the officials have been told to submit the case on the record performa attested by CDPO for necessary action.
