Punjab government will provide Rs 1000 as employment allowance to professionally skilled students of the state under Maharaja Ranjit Singh Professional skill Scheme.
A senior Punjab government official said that Rs.1000 per month will be given to the students as employment allowance for enabling them to pursuing higher vocational or technical education. “The students could claim the employment allowance for vocational or technical course of the duration of three, six months and one year. The amount of the allowance would be directly credited to the account of institute though Electronic Service Delivery (ESD) in which the student is studying,” said the official.
The official further added that the students between the age of 17 to 30 years having annual family income less than 1.5 lakh, can claim the employment allowance and desirous students could contact the District Employment Generation and Training Bureau and Employment Office.
