The Placement of students of Technical Institutes including ITIs and Polytechnic will be recorded in the Annual Confidential reports (ACR) of institute heads.
The decision taken by Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Anil Joshi today to strictly monitor the placement record of all Technical institutes. “We have issued instructions for the competent authorities to consider the placement of the students before writing Annual Confidential Report (ACR) of the principals of the concerned institutes. The efficient principals ensuring good placements would also be suitably rewarded,” Joshi said.
He said that the ACR’s of principals, belonging to Polytechnic and Engineering Colleges and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of the state, will be prepared on the basis of the placement of the students. “The issue of constructive use of the funds and grants would also be taken care of before writing ACRs. The principals have been asked to have relations with more and more big corporate units to organize job fairs so that opportunities could be made for the students for the placements,” he said.
He also asked the principals to start new courses considering the demands of the corporate sector.
