Justice Rajiv Sharma swears in as Judge of the HP High Court

Additional Judge of the High Court, Justice Rajiv Sharma was sworn-in as the Judge of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh here today.
The Acting Chief Justice R.B. Misra administered the oath of Office to Justice Rajiv Sharma Singh in a ceremony held in the High Court.
Judges of High Court Justice Surinder Singh and Justice VK Sharma, Advocate General Shravan Dogra, Additonal Solicitor General of India Sandeep Sharma, Chief Secretary Sudripto Roy, Registrars of High Court along with a large number of dignitaries including retired judges of the High Court of H.P.; Justice LS Panta, Lokayukta HP, Justice RK Mahajan, Justice VK Ahuja, DGP B. Kamal Kumar, Principal Secretary (Finance) Shrikant Baldi, Secretary (Law) Chirag Bhanu Singh and a large number of bureaucrats and Judicial Officers of the State were present on the occasion.
The Registrar General AC Dogra conducted the proceedings and read out the Warrant of appointment of Justice Rajiv Sharma.
Justice Rajiv Sharma, born on October 8, 1958 in Shimla has been in legal profession since the last 31 years. He obtained degree in Law from HP University. He was enrolled as an Advocate in 1982 and designated Senior Advocate in the year 2002. He primarily practiced in the High Court of H.P. in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Employment cases and Environmental Law. He was appointed as the Additional Judge of the High Court of HP in April 2007.
