Himachal police personnel will get training in forensic training at newly Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL) building at Bhiuli in Mandi, Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh said here today.
Virbhadra Singh after inaugurating the RFSL building said that the building will facilitate training to police personnel in forensic field and the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory had been approved by National Investigation Agency (NIA). “The laboratory will be upgraded under Modernization of Police Forces Program of Central government,” Singh said.
Singh further stated that RFSL will help in fast tracking the investigations of criminal cases in the state as it had been provided with world class technology. “The laboratory will help in speeding up crime investigations and will help in delivering justice to the people on time. At present, the lab is providing services to five districts of Central Police Range and facilities in Biology, Chemistry and Ballistic science division are available in lab,” he added.
