District Level Officers to conduct surprise raids at exam centers

Punjab government today issued authorized Naib Tehsildar, Tehsildar, District Welfare Officer, Secretary Market committee conduct surprise raids at examination centres to check mal practices.
Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka said that this initiative has been taken to ensure that there are no any kinds of mal practices in the Board Examination of 10th and 12th classes. He said that the department has made elaborate arrangements to keep the board examination be rest of mass copying and other unfair means. He said that the diverting the detail of present set-up instructions. He also said that the the Naib Tehsildar, Tehsildar, DDPOs, District Welfare Officer, Secretary Market committee have been authorized to conduct raids at any examination centers in their jurisdiction.
He added that these officers are asked to report to the education department for punitive action against erring school officials.
