BSP leader shot dead in Delhi

A BSP leader and the richest candidate of 2009 Loksabha elections, Deepak Bharadwaj was shot dead by three men at his farmhouse in south Delhi here today.
Bhardwaj was shot dead at his Rajokari farmhouse, Nitish Kunj at around at around 9 am today. The three men who had came in car at the farmhouse on the pretext of booking the farmhouse for a wedding after which they allegedly opened fire on Bhardwaj.
Deepak Bhardwaj was rushed to a nearby where he succumbed to the injuries. His security has also suffered bullet injuries and he is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police have launched a manhunt for the accused who are absconding after the incident.
Deepak Bharadwaj was into real estate business and he owned several hotels and schools. He had contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections on a BSP ticket and he was the richest candidate as he had declared his asset worth Rs 614 crores.
