Himachal Pradesh Cabinet in its Meeting held here on Friday granted approval to the revision of Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance entitlements/rates in respect of State Government employees. Officials with grade pay of Rs. 10,000 and above will be entitled to daily allowance @ Rs. 250 within the State of Himachal Pradesh.
Officials with grade pay of Rs. 6,600 and less than Rs. 10,000, will be entitled to daily allowance of Rs. 200 . Officials with grade pay of more than Rs. 5,000 and upto Rs. 6,600 to get daily allowance @ Rs. 180. Officials in the grade pay of Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 to get Rs. 160 as daily allowance while remaining employees in the grade pay ranging between Rs. 1,300 to Rs. 3,000 will be entitled to draw daily allowance @ Rs. 130. Similarly hotel charges and local transportation allowance outside the State have also been revised upward. This is in fulfillment of the Budget Announcement made by the Chief Minister in his Budget Speech delivered at the floor of the HP State Legislative Assembly.

It was also decided to revise upward the Fixed Travelling Allowance of field functionaries. Panchayat Secretaries and Mukhya Sevika in Rural Development Department, will be now getting Rs. 200 instead of Rs. 105 as fixed traveling allowance for remote area; Rs. 150 instead of Rs. 75 in other area; Kanungo in Forest Department to get Rs. 400 instead of Rs. 200 and Forest Guard to get Rs. 150 instead of Rs. 75 which they are getting at present. This is in fulfillment of the Budget Announcement of the Chief Minister..
It approved to present the Report of the Inquiry Commission for Benami Land Transactions in the State Assembly during current Session. It directed the Home and Revenue Departments to take immediate appropriate action in the cases mentioned in the Report. Further it approved extension of term of the Commission upto May 31, 2012 to complete the left out work.
HP to hold discussion with team Anna member
Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal discussed the draft Himachal Pradesh Lokayukta Bill – 2012 in detail. and desired that the views of the Lokayukta, Himachal Pradesh on the Draft Bill be obtained and considered. It was further decided that the Draft Bill be put up on the website of the Home Department and also on the website of Himachal Pradesh Government in order to invite suggestions from civil society and the general public. It was further decided to hold discussions with the representatives of Team Anna on the Draft Bill.
